Thanks for visiting...
Latest News
I visited Angelsey in mid-April to make plans for my exhibition in June.
Plas Newydd, is a National Trust property, the anchestral home of the Marquess of Anglesey. It's a fantastic venue, overlooking the Menai Strait. I feel very honoured to have been invited to exhibit there. My work will be on display in the exhibition room, adjacent to end of the main house tour. A selection of mounted prints, cards, postcard packs and copies of both my books will be on sale in the second-hand bookshop/cafe area. My exhibition will be on from 1st June until 3rd July 2013. For more details see panel below on the right.
Henley Exhibition Review
Thank you to Phil Radcliff for sponsoring the exhibition and the Reception staff at The Henley Business School for their help and support. It was interesting to return to Henley in my 'second career'. I have greatly enjoyed the conversations with those I have met during my visits.
Many thanks also Alfreda & Pat McHale for helping to hang the exhibition and to Pauline Simon, Asha Goodchild and Susie Knight for their help at the Private View.
I have really appreciated all the interest and encouragement from family and friends who came to the Private View or have made a personal visit since. Thank you all. If you were not able to make it - have a look at my Exhibitions page - I've put up a series of photos that give a 'Virtual Tour'.
I'm delighted to say I have already been asked to exhibit in the summer of 2013 in another wonderful location, this time in North Wales - so my adventure continues!
My photography
All these photographs are taken at Borth in Ceredigion, in mid-Wales. Borth is the location of many happy childhood holidays and somewhere I have returned to regularly in the last ten years.
My photography has been inspired by the relationship between the sea, the stones and the groynes on the beach at Borth. I love being by the sea and just watching the tides move in and out and became fascinated by the closely observing the natural world at work.
I published 'A Coastal Reflection’ - a book containing over 30 of my favourite Borth images, at the end of 2010. Little did I know I was creating unwittingly something of an historical record as many of the groynes have now disappeared from the beach to make way for the new stronger sea defences. For more on 'what happened next' check out the 'About' section.
I have been surprised and delighted by the interest in my work to date and the requests to have my images produced as canvas or block prints.
If you would like to enjoy one of my images in your home, please use the Contact page to let me know which image you are interested in and I will be pleased to discuss the best options for creating a quality finished product of your favourite image.
Thank you for your interest in my work
